Absence Management
Absences cost businesses and organisations millions of pounds each year. The average UK employee takes 8.4 days of sick leave per year, or 3.7% of working time, and this accounts for around £650 lost revenue per employee (CIPD, July 2007); and whether a large or small organisation this is not an amount to be ignored.

This Workshop has been specifically designed to provide managers with the time to stand back from the work environment and take a critical view of their current skills in handling absence. Delegates will explore the crucial differences between types and frequencies of absences and examine and implement the most effective means of monitoring and measuring from a range of options. By the end of this workshop delegates will be able to confidently deal with staff absences in a way which encourages a participative management approach.

target audience
This workshop is designed for new line managers or managers who have not previously dealt with absence management. It is also essential for those involved in any managerial capacity from supervisors to senior managers, who are ultimately responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures.
