Human resources, and in particular teams, are considered to be the building blocks of any organisation, but in order for individuals to function as a “team” a clear understanding of goals, roles, procedures and processes is essential. Without this understanding teams will not be as effective as they could be and therefore not reach their full potential.
This Workshop has been specifically designed to provide the delegates with the skills to identify team and organisational goals as well as define their own role and that of other team members; examine the causes of conflict and develop strategies with which to manage conflict within their team and to understand the relationships that exist in teams and how this can be harnessed to produce effective team work.
Typical elements for the Workshop include defining your individual role and your contribution to the team within the wider context of organisational aims and objectives. Understanding the organisational processes for decision making, leading teams, developing effective communication and managing conflict.
target audience This workshop is designed for all individuals within the organisation regardless of designation. It will however be of particular benefit to those who lead teams, set organisational goals and those involved in mediating in situations of conflict.
overview This workshop provides delegates with a detailed understanding of how to identify their own role and that of others within a team. Identify the characteristics of a leader and use this knowledge to effectively deal with goal-setting, managing conflict and appreciating the individual contribution made to the team by all members. Delegates will also have the opportunity to analyse their team and their individual contribution and to develop personal and team action plans. A range of team building activities will take place throughout this workshop to demonstrate the practical application of relevant theories.
